Don Hukari, Publisher
Don Hukari has lived in Tuolumne County for over 30 years, raising a family and enjoying the life that drew him from the San Jose area. In 1978, Don started Hukari Designs, a graphic design and silkscreen printing company. For 28 years in his downtown Sonora office, Don designed advertising for clients from all types of businesses in the area and served on the boards of the Central Sierra Arts Council and Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau. Don developed fine art style using the silkscreen process to produce serigraphs, which he continues to display in local galleries.
In 1988 Don started Central Sierra Seasons with the help of a Rural Renaissance grant from the State of California. The goal was to show the best of the region's lifestyles, cultural heritage and natural beauty while using the talents of local artists, photographers and writers. The nearly 20 year legacy of Central Sierra Seasons is a testimony to the quality and integrity of people that contribute to that success.

Richard Call, Web Editor
Richard Call literally grew up with Central Sierra Seasons. He used to visit the magazine's office as a child when his mother was an ad rep, helping apply labels to the covers and assisting with distribution. Between those days and the present, Richard was busy picking up a strong background in web design and pursuing an array of design and media related studies.
He moved back to the area in 2001 and returned to the Seasons office to apply labels and help the ad reps do distribution. In doing these tasks he was able to create opportunities to demonstrate his other proficiencies. He is enthusiastic about adding features to the website as the Web Editor. |
